Coffee Morning on Wednesday 13th May in St Josephs Parish Room and on every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.

Drop in any time between 9:30am-11:30am. Everyone is welcome.

22 members of Guernsey Chamber Choir will sing in Montsserat Abbey, Barcelona Cathedral and the Basilica de Mercé. They will also sing in Sagrada Família, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Sagrada is the largest unfinished Catholic Church in the world designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi and has taken over 140 years to build! This year is the centenary of Gaudi’s death and to mark this, the choir will be giving a concert in Sagrada. If you can’t make it to Barcelona, the choir will be giving a pre-tour concert on Friday 15th May at 6:30pm in St Joseph’s Church where they will perform a selection of the Barcelona repertoire. Free entry, retiring collection.

The Notre Dame Team will be hosting a social gathering on Sunday 17th May after the 6:00pm Mass.

Drinks and Light refreshments will be served. Everybody is welcome. Please do try your best to attend.

This year the significant anniversary mass will be held on Saturday 20th June at 11:00am in St Bede’s, Basingstoke.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for all that you do for the parish. You support the parish in so many ways: financially, physically, spiritually and most importantly, through the generous gift of your time, prayers and presence. You are truly a blessing to our parish community. In appreciation for everything you have done and continue to do, I would like to offer a special Mass of Thanksgiving on Wednesday 24th June at 6:30pm in St. Joseph’s. Please make every effort to attend and kindly accept this invitation. I sincerely hope that you will be able to join us and allow us the joy of thanking you personally for your generosity and dedicated service to the parish. In the coming days, I will send an email invitation to the leaders of the various volunteer groups and I would be grateful if they could kindly share it with their members. After Mass, we will gather in the presbytery gardens, weather permitting; otherwise, the gathering will take place in the school hall. If you are able, we would be grateful if you could bring a plate of nibbles or snacks to share, although your presence alone is most important. Sandwiches, sausages, wine, and soft drinks will be provided.

Life in the Spirit Seminar – Week 3 – New Life

The Life in the Spirit seminars continue on Monday 4th May in St Joseph’s Parish Room.

The session starts at 7:30pm with everyone invited to come along for a light buffet beforehand at 7:00pm.

The Liberation Day Service will be held on Saturday 9th May at 11:00am at the Town Church.

On the 30th May at 9:30am there will be a Rosary followed by a special Mass in honour of Our Lady at St. Joseph’s.

On this day, during the Rosary, you are invited to light a candle before Our Lady.

Let us gather as one family under Mother Mary’s care, asking for her intercession and drawing ever closer to Christ through her.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Fr. Michael for his generous support and assistance. It was truly kind of him to travel all the way to be with us and to help our parish community.
