ST PATRICKS SOCIAL
A heartfelt “thank you” to all involved in another successful St Patrick’s social at Delancey last week. To all the organisers for their willing work, our orator Eileen, and to all who attended and provided bounteous refreshments – it wouldn’t be successful without you! A special thanks to the members of the Guernsey Irish Dance Academy for the talented display and to their leaders and parents.
SCHOOLS
Our end-of-term school Masses were truly beautiful celebrations. The children were deeply involved throughout – proclaiming the readings, leading the bidding prayers, serving at the altar and above all filling the space with their joyful singing. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them. Well done, dear children – please keep it up. Also a heartfelt thank you to our dedicated teachers for all that you do to prepare and support the children so wonderfully. Your commitment, care and guidance make these special moments possible and we are deeply grateful for your presence within our school community. We wish all our children and staff a well-deserved and restful break.
Many thanks to everyone. Fr. Inna
LENTEN TALKS
Grateful thanks to all our speakers and to all who have attended and supported our 2026 Lenten talks. The support you have given to ensure their success has been greatly appreciated.
Deacon Mark
The children and staff of St Mary & St Michael and Notre Dame Catholic Primary School would like to say a heartfelt thank you to our wonderful parish community. Within just 24 hours, we had received all the funding needed for our Milk for Schools initiative – you are all so very generous. Your kindness will make a real difference to our children each day. Thank you to our wonderful parish.
“During this season of Lent, a time of prayer, conversion and hope, we turn to you with trust and heartfelt gratitude. Amid the difficult and exceptional circumstances that our Holy Land is going through, the situation has sadly worsened with the resumption of the war yesterday. The sounds, the anxieties and the direct impact on the local population have renewed the distress and insecurity of many families. This new escalation deeply affects our daily life and that of the children entrusted to us, as well as the work of the Crèche, which depends largely on your faithful generosity.”
You can see the full newsletter in our church porches. If you would like to donate then please send to the Parish Office. And continue to pray for peace and justice. Many Thanks.
As of 20th March I have walked 180km with only 20km to go. Raised £690 so only £60 short of my target. Any further donations during the last two weeks of Lent, no matter how small, will make a world of difference to the work of CAFOD.
Sincere thanks, Helen
