This week, please pray for Deacon Edward Hauschild, whose ordination to the priesthood will take place on Saturday 25th March at 11:00am at St John’s Cathedral, Portsmouth. This is a major event for the Diocese and also for our Parish in Guernsey as Edward has strong family links (Gloria Guillou is his Grandmother). Edward always served on the Altar when he visited at the Christmas and Easter Masses. All are welcome to attend the Mass of Ordination as we rejoice in this new priest that the Lord is giving to us. If you cannot attend in person, please remember him in your prayers as he prepares these next days. The Ordination Mass will be live streamed in St Joseph’s Church from 11:00am next Saturday, however it may be audio only due to issues with the cathedral’s camera. Fr Edward will say his first Mass in Guernsey during April (date to be announced) and a reception will follow afterwards.
