This year’s Harvest Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 18th October at St. Joseph’s Church. The Children’s Liturgy group would be very grateful for any donations to add to their collection in aid of St. Julian’s House and The Russels Day Centre.
St Julian’s House provides supported accommodation for homeless people as well as offering continuing support to vulnerable adults in the community. St Julian’s House seeks to promote opportunities and support to enable homeless people to return to independent living.
The Russels Day Centre provides a comfortable meeting place for the older members of the community where they can take pleasure in the company of others, enjoy good food and benefit from the facilities that the centre has to offer. The centre is staffed by volunteers.
Please can you leave any donations for these two charities at the back of the church on the morning of the 18th October.
Suggested donations: Tinned/Packet food; pasta; jelly; rice; tea bags; coffee; biscuits; washing powder; shower gel; toothpaste/ toiletries.
