Important Debate – 1st May – Les Cotils

Important Debate

Tuesday 1st May at Les Cotils

Deputy Andrea Dudley-Owen has organised a debate for Tuesday 1st May, 7.00pm in the Harry Bound Room, Les Cotils. Gavin St Pier has accepted – after initially rejecting – the invitation to field a team of speakers in favour of the proposed legislation, to debate with Robert Preston of the UK think-tank Living and Dying Well, and Dr Carol Davis, a palliative medicine consultant, who will both be arguing against the legislation.

It is important that we muster as much support as we can for this event. Apart from the educational aspect of it and what I’m sure will be a very satisfying debate, it would really pay to ensure that there are a good number present who will show their hands against assisted dying, should an impromptu poll of the audience be asked for.
