You may have heard Dr Susan Wilson of the Tumaini Fund on Radio Guernsey talking about the 48 children of a primary school in Kihingi, Tanzania who have been seriously injured by a hand grenade. Survivors are being treated in the local Little Catholic Rulenge Hospital which has few resources to treat them. Tumaini is on the spot, know the needs and has already given some help. The hospital needs sheets, blankets, antiseptic, dressings and antibiotics and some children will need long term treatment like prosthetics. So your donations will go to the Tumaini fund specifically for the Kihingi children and the hospital’s needs. Like the words attributed to St Theresa – “Christ has no body now but yours, no hands no feet on earth but yours.” Thank you for being the hands and feet of Christ to the poor children of Kihingi.
