This year’s children’s Harvest Mass is on Sunday 15th October at 10.30am at St Joseph’s church.
Donations of the following non-perishable food items and toiletries would be greatly appreciated :-
Tinned food; Pasta; Rice; Tea/Coffee; Cereal; Biscuits; Shampoo; Shower Gel; Toothpaste; Soap; Washing Powder; Biscuits; Chocolates etc.
Donations received will be given to Guernsey Welfare and The Russels Day Centre.
Guernsey Welfare Service operate a foodbank for a variety of people who find themselves in financial need. This includes single-parent families, pensioners, people with disabilities or long-term medical conditions and families on low incomes.
The Russels Day Centre is managed by Guernsey Voluntary Service on behalf of the Department of Health. It is open Tuesdays to Fridays and cares for about 25 elderly people each day. Donations can be brought to Mass on the day and left in the back of the church.
