National Shrine of Our Lady at Walsingham
As we celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Walsingham (24th September) the Bishops of England & Wales have asked all parishes for a one-off appeal to help in the developments at the National Shrine. Walsingham is an ancient shrine and hundreds of thousands of pilgrims and visitors visit the shrine every year. There is an urgent need to upgrade the facilities and to develop new services for disabled pilgrims and young people. After the restoration of the shrine in 1887, Pope Leo XIII stated that “When England goes back to Walsingham, Our Lady will come back to England”. Please, if you can, support the Appeal either by making a donation in the envelopes supplied in the porches or direct to the Parish Office.
For more information please go to www.walsingham.org.uk or see the posters in the porches.
