Le Platon Home Garden Fete

Sunday 4th July, 12.00 – 3.00pm

American Independence Day so there will be burgers and hot dogs for sale!

Come and have lunch on the lawn! Cakes, books, unwanted gifts stall, bottle stall, plants, raffle and teas.

N.B. Unwanted gifts/bottles or even a prize for the raffle will be gratefully received at either the Parish Office or Le Platon Home. Anyone who would like to donate a cake/cakes please hand them in to Le Platon Home on the day.

ACIES Ceremony

The Legion of Mary invites all Auxilliary Members to attend the ACIES Ceremony and blessing of our new Legion banner at 2.30pm on Saturday 27th March, Le Platon Home.

Le Platon allotments

Le Platon Home has an area of land that the Trustees are considering letting as a small allotment scheme. Details of the scheme are not yet complete but the Trustees would like to hear from anyone in the parish who may be interested.

UCM Afternoon Tea Party

The UCM would like to say a huge thank you to all of those who gave so generously to the UCM Afternoon Tea Party which was held for the residents and sisters of Le Platon on the 6th December. Without your donations we could not have hosted this special event.

A big thank you to St. Joseph’s Children’s Liturgy Group who performed a Nativity play and sang Christmas Carols.

Finally thanks to Mrs Salisbury for assisting with the music and to Mr Salisbury who drove the residents to and from the Tea Party.

The Union of Catholic Mothers Meet on Tuesday 10th November at 7.30pm. The speaker is Amanda Bennett on the subject of Guernsey Heritage. No Sales Table this month as proceeds from a larger raffle will be for the Afternoon Tea Party for Le Platon Residents on December 6th.

You may like to make a donation towards the tea party or sponsor one of the elderly for £10.

Please send to the Parish Office at Ampthill House in an envelope marked U.C.M. Tea Party. Cheque donations should be made payable to PRCDTR.

Afternoon tea party

The Union of Catholic Mothers is hosting an Afternoon Tea Party for Le Platon residents on Sunday, 6th December at St. Pierre Park Hotel. The children from St. Joseph’s Liturgy Group will perform a nativity play and sing Christmas carols during the afternoon. We would be grateful for any donations towards this event.

Le Platon Garden Fete

A very big thank you to all who attended Le Platon Garden Fete on 12th July. £1,000 was raised on the day, enabling us to buy special mattresses for 4 of the beds.
