Cabrini Children’s Society

On Sunday 14th February the annual collection for the Cabrini Children’s Society will take place.

The Society provides support and care for some of the most vulnerable children and young people in our community. Their work includes providing Breakfast & Homework Clubs and Pre-school Care; Counselling for school age children experiencing stress and exclusion; Residential Care for young people with special needs and Catechetical Programmes for children and young people with disabilities.

The Society relies on the good will of the Catholic community to continue its work in our diocese.

Please give what you can to help give the next generation the chance they deserve.

UCM Afternoon Tea Party

The UCM would like to say a huge thank you to all of those who gave so generously to the UCM Afternoon Tea Party which was held for the residents and sisters of Le Platon on the 6th December. Without your donations we could not have hosted this special event.

A big thank you to St. Joseph’s Children’s Liturgy Group who performed a Nativity play and sang Christmas Carols.

Finally thanks to Mrs Salisbury for assisting with the music and to Mr Salisbury who drove the residents to and from the Tea Party.

St. Joseph’s Children’s Liturgy Group Annual Cake Sale

This year’s St. Joseph’s Children’s Liturgy Group Annual Cake Sale is taking place on Sunday, 29th November following 10.30am Mass.

Proceeds will be shared between the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre and H.C.P.T. (Handicapped Children Pilgrimage Trust).

If any one wishes to donate a cake it would be much appreciated, please can you bring the cakes to the Hall before Mass. Thanks in advance for your support.

First Holy Communions

First Holy Communions will take place on Saturday 13th June. Masses will be at 10.00am in St Joseph’s and Our Lady Star of the Sea and at 5.30pm in Notre Dame. Please keep the children in your prayers.

Feast of Corpus Christi – Sunday 14th June

All First Communicants are invited to the 10.30am Mass in St Joseph’s which will be followed by a procession of the Blessed Sacrament and a Children’s Party.

Children’s Liturgy Group

Do you have children attending 10.30am Mass?

If so we would very much like to meet you.

We would like to hear you and your children’s views and ideas on how we can make sure that our children learn and enjoy their own special time in Church.

In order to do this we need to have a rota system to make sure we have sufficient adults in attendance.
