Eucharistic Ministers

The Role of the Eucharistic Minister

A Eucharistic Minister is asked to serve for three years and is commissioned by the Dean on behalf of the Bishop.

A primary role of the Eucharistic Minister is to take Communion to the sick and house bound, preferably after Sunday Mass, thus bringing the celebration of the Mass by the Community to those who are unable to join us.

If you are unable to attend Mass, and you would like a minister to call on you, please contact the priest in the first instance.

Co-ordinator for Eucharistic Ministers at St Joseph’s is Marian Nightingale. At Our Lady Star of the Sea it is Tich Harvey, tel. 247492.
