Housegroups

We’re starting housegroups in the parish which will meet regularly for worship, learning, discussion and prayer together.

HousegroupsIt’s been recognised that there’s not enough going on for the youth of the parish, and something’s now being done about that.  It’s not just the youth though — something needs to be done for the adults as well!  Many people currently have no opportunities to think and talk about their faith outside of Sunday Mass.

Each housegroup will have around 8-12 people, and will meet at a time and place that suits everyone in the group.  Typically, that would be someone’s house (hence the name).  Meeting in a small group can really encourage you in your faith, and is a great opportunity to develop your gifts and
the confidence to use them.

If you want to join a group, or just find out more, come along to St. Joseph’s parish room at 7:30pm on Tuesday 24th February. We’ll start with worship, and an introduction to the idea of housegroups, then split into small groups to do the sort of activity a housegroup might get up to before coming back together for prayer and to collect names and contact details.

If you’ve got any questions, or would like to be part of a group but can’t make the meeting, get in touch with Tom Saddington (07781 129310) or Emily Harvey (07781 435725), or email us using the form here.
